At Shriners Children's St. Louis, we have a team of physicians and specialists who are highly trained and experienced in pediatric orthopedics. This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Other specialties you will find at our facility include limb lengthening and reconstruction, spine care, muscular and neuromuscular care, orthotics and prosthetics and plastic surgery.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Outpatient Services and Care Management is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating and developing the scope and objectives of the Care Management Program and the Outpatient Services Department. Will coordinate and direct care management services to ensure safe quality care, optimize revenue and minimize risk. Provides oversight of care management activities and direct supervision of care managers, social workers and the Outpatient Department assigned staff. Acts as a liaison between staff and physicians for care management related issues, questions, changes and communications. Actively supports the hospital's philosophy of family-centered, evidence based practice care. Applies knowledge of growth and development. Upholds ANA's standards of Clinical Practice and NAON's Guidelines for Orthopaedic Nursing to patient care.

Qualifications

Required

  1. BSN
  2. RN License in state of practice
  3. Case Management Certification (CCM, ACM, or ANCC) required. If not currently certified, certification by CCM, ANCC, or ACM will be required within one year of hire, or upon eligibility.

Preferred

  1. MSN
  2. 3+ years Care Management
  3. 1+ years Pediatrics experience preferred
  4. 3+ years management experience in a supervisory/leadership role preferred
