Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a Manager of Med Surg to lead daily operations of the unit, manage staffing, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will monitor nursing care in line with policies, hold staff accountable for outcomes, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet facility objectives. BLS and RN licensure required, BSN preferred, with 3+ years of applicable experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in practice state and/or compact license
• 3+ years applicable nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily function and staffing of the Med Surg unit/department
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care per policies/procedures
• Ensure quality and clinical outcomes align with facility objectives

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• 3 + years applicable experience Required
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
