Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in El Paso is seeking a Temporary Outbound Transportation Coordinator to drive the day-to-day execution of the transportation department, coordinating between DCs, Home Office, stores, and external carriers.

Responsibilities

• Support outbound trailer movement planning and scheduling, including transportation optimization
• Monitor trailers in-transit and escalate delays
• Assist with peak season plans and staffing
• Support Transportation Manager/Supervisor with yard staffing and inbound/outbound transport
• Coordinate with Field Leadership, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, and carriers to ensure TJX service standards
• Plan truck capacity and ensure adequate power and trailers
• Ensure timely execution of outbound movements to hit delivery metrics
• Guide and train peer Transportation Coordinators when applicable
• Audit and update Yard Management System for carrier/trailer accuracy
• Develop SOPs for outbound activities

Temporary OutboundTransportationCoordinator

Job Summary:

As a TransportationCoordinator, you areresponsible forbut not limited to handling the day-to-day execution of the transportation department.A coordinator works with internal (DC, Home Office, StoreOperations,andField Leadership)and external (carriers, 3PLs) partners tomonitorshipments and expedite the efficient movement ofTJX merchandise.Creatinga timelyflow into our stores while working tomaintaintheoptimalperformance value.Ensuringtimelyservice ofdeliveries, whileupholdingoperational standards.Supporting and escalating any high-level challenges to their Transportation Supervisor/Manager.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Support execution ofoutbound trailer movement (crossdockandstore deliveries),ensuringaccurateshipping plans and schedules, including transportation optimization,andreturnlogistics

• Consistently deliver operational performance against established KPIs andfollow up with carriers on exception.Execute plans to follow up on performance

• Monitor trailers in-transit and elevate late arrivals

• Execute againstPeak Seasonplans/strategies tosupport the challenging needs of the business

• Support Transportation Manager/Supervisorin yard staffing, scheduling, and usageas well asinsupporting the building withallinboundand outboundtransportation responsibilities

• Interact with Field Leadership, StoreOperations, LossPrevention,andTransportation providers to ensure overall execution ofTJXservice/standards

• Plan and communicate the truck capacity requirements and ensure an adequate supply of truck power and trailers

• Ensure outbound movementsare executedin a timely mannerto hit on-time delivery metrics

• Partner with Shipping teams to ensure proper loading and damage practices are followed

• Provides guidance and/or training to other peer Transportation Coordinators when applicable

• Auditsand updateYard Management System for carrier/trailer accuracy

• Build in-depth working knowledge of the Transportation Management Systems so that you can design, test, and implement new configuration and parameters that drive efficiencies

• Gather andmaintainTJX Transportation and LogisticsStore Delivery and Cross Dockmasterdata

• Support outbound transportation projects and initiatives as assigned or directed

• Create and follow Standard Operating Process (SOP) guides for Outbound activities

• Support other TJX functions/partners as applicable

• Provide direction for miscellaneous outbound shipments,ie. RTVs, Misroutes, Fed Ex, etc.

• Performs other duties asrequiredor directed

The measure and size of this job’sfinancial responsibility

Responsible for store delivery movement of up to $55millionannuallyintransportation spend. Servicing 50 to 170 storesand/or crossdocksdepending on size of DC.

• Ensure correct storeI’llconfiguration and equipment type (as applicable)

• Mange correct trailer pool ratio to match sessional shipping volumes

• Influence DC Business partners to ensure trailers are cubed tooptimizestransportation spend

Job Knowledge:

Minimum formal education

Pay Range: 17.30-23.35-29.40
