Job summary

Community Solutions Inc is seeking a Manager of Information Technology Operations to lead planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of CSI's technology environment. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity coordination, enterprise systems, projects, and vendor relationships from the Corporate Office in Windsor, CT.

You will partner with leadership to align technology with organizational goals, manage budgets, and ensure secure, reliable services for staff and programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 3+ years of technical or software development project management experience managing multiple projects.
  • 2+ years leading projects as a Project Lead, Scrum Master, or applying Agile methods.
  • PMP and/or CSM/PSM/PRINCE II certification preferred.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills with clear, concise articulation of ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day IT operations and service delivery across CSI locations.
  • Oversee infrastructure, enterprise apps, cloud services, security platforms, and end-user tech.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets; ensure compliance and audits.
  • Plan technology roadmaps, modernization, and strategic investments with leadership.
  • Coordinate technology projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.

This position oversees IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity coordination, enterprise systems, technology projects, vendor relationships, asset management, and budgeting to ensure secure, reliable, and effective technology services across the organization.Working closely with leadership and external technology partners, the Manager of IT Operations aligns technology investments and services with organizational goals, operational needs, compliance requirements, and user experience, based in our Corporate Office in Windsor, CT.Company OverviewCommunity Solutions Inc. IT Operations & Service DeliveryLead and coordinate day-to-day IT operations and technology support services.Ensure the delivery of reliable, responsive, and high-quality technology services.Manage relationships with managed service providers, cybersecurity partners, telecommunications vendors, software vendors, and other technology suppliers.Oversee vendor performance, service agreements, and contract compliance.Ensure effective processes for incident management, problem resolution, system support, and change management.Coordinate technology support across all CSI locations.Supervise and prioritize IT workloads in collaboration with the IT Generalist and external providers.B. Infrastructure, Systems & CybersecurityOversee technology infrastructure, enterprise applications, cloud services, telecommunications systems, security platforms, and end-user technology.Coordinate cybersecurity, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities with external technology partners.Ensure compliance with security, privacy, licensing, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate technology audits, security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and risk mitigation efforts.Serve as the primary internal liaison for major technology outages, cybersecurity incidents, and system disruptions.Maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and operational documentation.C. Strategic Planning, Communication & Organizational SupportPartner with leadership to identify technology needs and opportunities that support organizational goals and growth.Develop technology roadmaps, implementation plans, and modernization strategies.Evaluate business processes and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency, integration, automation, and service delivery.Advise leadership regarding technology investments, risks, resource needs, and emerging trends.Collaborate with departments to assess needs, prioritize requests, and communicate technology decisions.Prepare reports, presentations, and communications related to technology operations, projects, and initiatives.Support technology planning for new programs, facility changes, expansions, and major system implementations.D. Project Management & ImplementationLead technology projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.Define project scope, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and success measures.Coordinate project activities among internal stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and service providers.Monitor project progress, manage risks, resolve barriers, and communicate project status to leadership.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.Support user training, communication, and adoption of new technologies.E. Asset, Vendor, Contract & Financial ManagementOversee the lifecycle of technology assets, including hardware, software, telecommunications services, cellular devices, cameras, and cloud solutions.Ensure accurate asset inventory, deployment, replacement, recovery, and retirement processes.Manage software licensing, subscriptions, procurement activities, and technology replacement planning.Lead vendor selection, contract review, and RFP processes as needed.Develop and manage IT operating and project budgets.Evaluate technology investments based on organizational priorities, risk, value, and feasibility.Review technology expenditures, purchasing requests, and vendor invoices for accuracy, budget compliance, and business need.Prepare budget forecasts, cost analyses, and technology investment recommendations.F. Quality, Compliance & Continuous ImprovementEnsure compliance with organizational policies, technology standards, security requirements, and applicable regulations.Conduct operational reviews, quality assurance activities, and vendor performance assessments.Identify and mitigate technology-related risks.Recommend and implement improvements to technology services, processes, security, and user experience.Monitor emerging technologies and industry best practices.Conduct site visits as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in information technology, information systems or a related field.
