Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

Location: Northeastern U.S. Region (Remote with periodic onsite presence)

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Description: The Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting is responsible for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, interpreting technical accounting guidance, and ensuring adherence to financial compliance standards. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, external audit coordination, and policy development while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and continuous improvements. The role includes responsibilities related to financial modeling, the adoption of new standards, and addressing complex accounting issues with clarity and precision.

Required Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2. Certification as a CPA (preferred)
3. Over seven years of progressive experience in accounting, with familiarity in financial services being advantageous
4. In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
5. Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and applying technical accounting standards
6. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and financial reporting tools
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
8. Clear and concise communication, with the ability to translate technical accounting matters to broader audiences
9. Proven ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage competing deadlines
10. Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity
