A large, publicly traded steel producer and metals recycler seeks a Manager of Financial Reporting to lead monthly consolidation, oversee SEC filings, and manage key audit relationships. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen ICFR/SOX controls, and coach a growing accounting team in a high‑visibility environment.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of public company experience, a CPA, and deep GAAP/SEC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with a publicly traded company.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC filings, and debt/equity capital market transactions.
• Deep understanding of ICFR, SOX requirements, and external audit procedures.
• Proven success managing consolidations for large, complex organizational structures.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong financial systems aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly consolidation and reporting process within OneStream.
• Prepare and coordinate Forms 10-K/10-Q/8-K and XBRL tagging.
• Primary contact for external auditors and annual audits.
• Maintain ICFR and SOX control environment and documentation.
• Coach and develop accounting team members.
• Support management with acquisitions, forecasting, and new standards adoption.

Overview

A large, publicly traded steel producer and metals recycler is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to lead monthly financial consolidation, oversee SEC filings, and manage key external audit relationships. This role is central to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting and compliance processes.

What you'll do

• Lead all aspects of the monthly consolidation and reporting process within OneStream, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Manage end-to-end preparation and coordination of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form SD, and XBRL tagging requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring smooth quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Maintain and strengthen the financial reporting control environment, documenting and monitoring ICFR and SOX compliance.
• Coach, mentor, and support the career development of accounting and finance team members in a collaborative environment.
• Support executive management with purchase accounting for acquisitions, forecasting, financial analysis, and adoption of new accounting standards.

Required qualifications
