Job summary

Capital Bank N.A. seeks a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and provide strategic insights across Windsor Advantage and related units.

You will partner with department heads and senior leadership to create financial plans, own the financial model with Oracle EPM, and prepare monthly board reports. A CPA or similar finance experience is valued in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in corporate finance, investment banking, or accounting.
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows).
  • Exposure to finance and accounting functions within a banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with finance and Windsor leadership to create financial plans and forecasts.
  • Own the financial model and modeling process for Windsor, including Oracle EPM integration.
  • Create monthly Windsor Board report with financial, operational, sales, and other data as needed.
  • Lead monthly touchpoint meetings with Finance, Windsor leadership, and other Capital Bank areas.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Position Purpose

This positionisresponsible for analyzing financial data, developing and monitoring budgets, and providing financial and strategic insights for Windsor Advantage™ (“Windsor”) amongst other areas of Capital Bank or Capital Bancorp. The role evaluates budget proposals and monitors and helps plan for future financial needs. This role partners closely with department heads, finance teams and senior leadership to provide decision support and financial analysis.

Position Responsibilities
  • Partner with finance and Windsor leadership to create financial plans and forecasts
  • Ownership of the financial model and financial modeling process for Windsor, as well as integrating modeling within Oracle EPM
  • Create monthly Windsor Board report with financial, operational, sales, & other information as needed and other entities where applicable
  • Lead monthly touchpoint meeting with Finance, Windsor leadership, and other areas of Capital Bank to discuss and review financial performance
  • Complete annual plan/budget and forecast cycles in coordination with the finance team
  • Assist with strategic planning process and creation of deliverables
  • Complete ad hoc financial analyses
  • Support strategic initiatives and cost-benefit analyses and scenario modeling
  • Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results, identifying trends and opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking and/or accounting; general banking experience preferred
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience and understanding of financial statements including income statement, balance sheet and cash flows
  • Exposure to finance and accounting is necessary
Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of the principles of providing a high level of customer service with internal customers.
  • Excellent communication skills are needed in dealing with employees and management.
  • Planning and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in group situations to staff and Management.
  • Must work well with deadlines and be very detail oriented.
Compensation
  • Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually / hourly. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
  • Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
