As Manager of Facilities & Service, you will work at one of our beautiful communities, representing Mark-Taylor through the delivery of exceptional customer service while overseeing the upkeep of the physical asset and community grounds.

You're Excited About This Role Because You Will:

  • Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
  • Oversee and execute the hands-on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.
  • Perform inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
  • Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes to support leasing efforts, including managing the Make-Ready and Turn Board.
  • Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Inspect the property for safety hazards, correct hazards, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Share rotating on-call duties with team members and be available after hours if needed, in uniform/badge.
  • Complete Weekly Service Reports promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions.
  • Train and mentor Service and Facilities Technicians.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemicals, and unit turnovers.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive relationships with residents and team members.
  • Oversee capital projects, including bidding and execution.

We're Excited to Meet You! Ideally, You Will Bring:

  • Advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA standards.
  • Industry-specific certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA, or similar).
  • Service-oriented attitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make-Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, Building Engineer, or similar role.
  • Basic written and verbal English proficiency.

The starting hourly pay range for the Manager of Facilities & Service is $31.00, commensurate with experience and community complexity. This position is eligible for monthly bonuses. Service team members participate in a rotating on-call schedule with shift differential pay.
