Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, SecOps, or Systems/Network Administration.
  • 0–2 years of supervisory experience with a track record of staff development.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Ethernet, DNS).

Responsibilities

  • Embeds security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
  • Automates infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Collaborates with development teams to ensure secure code deployment.
  • Designs, configures, and maintains secure network architectures (LAN/WAN/VPN/Firewall).
  • Monitors network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implements network segmentation and zero-trust principles.
  • Manages Linux and Windows servers, including patching and backups.
  • Maintains high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Administers IAM, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
  • Conducts vulnerability assessments and remediates findings.
  • Manages endpoint protection, SIEM tools, and IDS.
  • Ensures compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2.
  • Supports IT Operations Manager and team, incl. resource planning.
  • Develops and enforces IT operational policies and procedures.
  • Attends and participates in weekly meetings.
  • Coordinates with IT team to meet objectives.
  • Provides 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Manager of DevSecOps & Network Engineering is to operate in a dynamic role that integrates development, security, and IT operations. This position is responsible for automating infrastructure, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, and managing network and system operations across both cloud and on-premises environments. This position will support the IT Operations team’s initiatives to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of IT services across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in network architecture, systems administration, and security best practices.

Essential Duties
  • Embeds security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
  • Automates infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Collaborates with development teams to ensure secure code deployment.
  • Designs, configures, and maintains secure network architectures (LAN/WAN/VPN/Firewall).
  • Monitors network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implements network segmentation and zero-trust principles.

  • Maintains high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in DevOps, SecOps, or Systems/Network Administration
  • 0 – 2 years of supervisory experience with a strong track record of developing and advancing staff
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Strong knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, Ethernet, CISCO UCS, NetApp, Microsoft Office 365, switching, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), 802.1Q, and DNS
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and high-volume environment
  • Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Work Environment

This position works in an office setting. Requires regular use of office equipment including computers, phones, and printers. This position occasionally works in manufacturing and warehouse environments. Exposure to seasonal temperature extremes and dusty conditions may occur. Office hours are 8AM to 5PM, with on-call availability required during non-scheduled hours.
