Job summary

CMK Resources is seeking a Manager of Data Center and Infrastructure Operations in Milpitas, CA to lead day-to-day data center and infrastructure operations, manage technical teams, and ensure availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT infrastructure, data-center, or infrastructure operations.
• 3+ years leading data-center or infrastructure-operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data-center operations and virtualization.
• Experience with physical and virtual servers, storage, networking, Windows and Linux.
• Experience managing major incidents, monitoring, escalation, and problem-solving.
• Hardware refreshes and lifecycle planning experience.
• Knowledge of data-center power, cooling, UPS, generators, and environmental monitoring.
• Experience managing vendors and third-party service providers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance, capacity, and reliability of critical infrastructure.
• Establish operating procedures, runbooks, escalation processes, and documentation.
• Lead major infrastructure incidents, service restoration, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance, patching, hardware refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, and lifecycle programs.
• Coordinate equipment installation, decommissioning, relocation, cabling, and deployments.
• Partner with facilities on power, cooling, UPS, generators, monitoring, and security.
• Develop capacity plans, inventories, operational KPIs, SLAs, and refresh roadmaps.
• Support disaster-recovery testing and infrastructure-recovery readiness.
• Manage vendors, MSPs, budgets, procurement, and investments.
• Lead staffing, performance management, on-call coverage, and employee development.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.

Location: Milpitas, California

Work Arrangement: 4 days a week onsite, 1 day a week remote

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across enterprise data centers and infrastructure environments.
• Manage technical teams supporting physical and virtual servers, storage, virtualization, monitoring, and related technologies.

• Experience with hardware refreshes and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
• Knowledge of data-center power, cooling, UPS, generators, cabling, and environmental monitoring.
• Experience managing technology vendors and third-party service providers.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, and team-leadership skills.
