Job summary

Carrier Enterprise seeks an experienced Commercial Controls Manager for its Houston, TX operation. You will support contractors and dealers, drawing up submittals, starting up controls, and trouble-shooting i-Vu systems for projects across the region.

The role requires leading training, maintaining certification programs, and expanding Carrier Commercial Controls presence. Travel within the assigned region is expected to support dealers and customers.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience in HVAC systems controls support.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Proficient with remote support tools to diagnose issues.
• Familiar with i-Vu controls software.

Responsibilities

• Provide a primary resource for customers to answer controls questions.
• Assist in operating the Certified Controls Expert Contractor Programs.
• Maintain technician certification documentation and training/testing requirements.
• Lead training classes for sales and installation of Carrier controls systems.
• Grow the Carrier Commercial Controls presence in the region.
• Travel within the region to support dealers.

SUMMARY

The Manager of Controls willassistand train commercial contractors with Carrieri-Vu controls. Thisposition will be expected to draw up submittals,assistincontrolsstart-up, support and trouble shooti-Vucontrols system when called upon by our clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide a primary resource for our customers to answercontrolsquestions.
• Assistinoperatingthe existing Certified Controls Expert Contractor Programs.
• Maintain Technician Certification documentation andestablishtraining & testing requirements.

• Attract elite contractor memberships in the Factory Controls Authorization Program.

• Travel throughout the assigned region(s) to provide support to Carrier controls dealers.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively toidentifyand resolve technical issues.
• Familiarity with HVAC commercial systems Controls Software, ideallyi-Vu.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, coordinating efforts with otherdepartmentsto ensure customer satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple customer casessimultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on new HVAC technologies, products, andindustry trends.
