Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• B.A. / B.S. degree required.
• Current RN licensure in California required.
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
• 3 years of supervision experience required.
• 1–3 years of progressive hospital/nursing management experience required.
• Evidence of cardiovascular/ hospital and healthcare management competency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities, supervision, management and direction of the Cardiovascular Department.
• Assist the Director in maintaining clinical and operational performance and lead staff and students.
• Provide leadership for cardiovascular personnel and clinical teams.
• Deliver professional nursing care and enforce care guidelines and departmental policies.
• Assess patients to plan, intervene and evaluate care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• As the Manager of Cardiovascular Services, you will be responsible for the activities, supervision, management and direction of the Cardiovascular Department in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals
• This position will assist the Director in maintaining the highest degree of clinical and operational performance of the Department and will be responsible for leadership of Cardiovascular personnel and/ or students and functions as a resource for physicians, nursing staff and patients
• You will be responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care and provides leadership to staff
• You will require basic understanding and ability to utilize the nursing process, develop and enforce guidelines of medical plan of care and departmental policies
• You will assess patients in order to plan, intervene and evaluate care

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
• B.A. / B.S. degree required
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Board of Registered Nurses of the State of California required
• BLS Certification, ACLS Certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required
• 3 years work experience in area of supervision required
• 1-3 years of progressive hospital/ nursing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Evidence of experience which defines competency in Cardiovascular, hospital and healthcare management required
• Evidence of experience in successful administration and leadership of organizational management programs required
