Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Manager of Audiology Services to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for its Center of Excellence in hearing and balance care. This role partners with ENT and Otolaryngology to advance multidisciplinary audiology within California's premier academic health system.

The Manager directs clinical operations, workforce development, budgeting, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and planning.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology from an accredited program.
• Supervisory, management, or leadership experience within an audiology practice.
• Clinical experience providing audiologic care to both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Knowledge of hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and digital hearing aid programming software.
• Knowledge of cochlear and bone conduction implant candidacy, expected outcomes, and programming software.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff, solve complex problems, analyze data, identify trends, and support long-range operational goals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT).
• Commitment to maintaining clinical competency through continuing professional education.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Job description

The Manager of Audiology Services provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for UC Davis Health's Center of Excellence in hearing and balance care. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a highly specialized Audiology program within one of California's premier academic health systems while partnering closely with Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) and the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery to advance innovative, multidisciplinary care.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Manager is responsible for the overall direction of Audiology Services, including clinical operations, workforce development, budgeting, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and strategic planning. This role champions operational excellence, expands access to specialized services, and drives initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, employee engagement, and organizational performance.

The Manager collaborates with nationally recognized physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary leaders to shape the future of audiologic care through innovation, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement. This position also plays an integral role in mentoring clinical leaders, advancing specialized programs—including hearing aids, cochlear and bone conduction implants, vestibular services, and pediatric audiology—and supporting the academic, research, and clinical missions of UC Davis Health.

Department Overview

The Department of Audiology at UC Davis Health is a Center of Excellence dedicated to advancing hearing and balance care through clinical innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and exceptional patient outcomes. As an integral part of the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) program, the department partners closely with the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan, supporting patients from diagnosis through medical, surgical, and rehabilitative treatment. Our audiologists practice at the forefront of the profession, providing a full spectrum of specialized services, including diagnostic audiologic and vestibular evaluations, pediatric audiology, hearing aid and assistive listening technology services, cochlear and bone conduction implant evaluation, programming and management, tinnitus assessment and treatment, and OSHA hearing conservation services.
