Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a newly created Manager, Accounting Transformation role in Southfield, Michigan. This hybrid position leads process improvements, controls, and finance system enhancements across the accounting function.

The role focuses on documenting policies, supporting IPO readiness, and delivering standardized, auditable financial processes with a strong emphasis on internal controls and Big 4 experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Active CPA license preferred.
• Master’s degree in accounting preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive financial accounting roles, with Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Experience supporting SOX and related audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing accounting and finance processes; identify inefficiencies, risks, and automation opportunities.
• Implement enhancements of existing processes through effective redesign and remediation of any identified risks.
• Support IPO readiness initiatives, including documentation and control design for future-state processes and controls.
• Own documentation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Lead finance transformation workstreams through standardization of and optimization of financial processes (close optimization, ERP enhancements, reporting redesign).
• Support implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting infrastructure (ERP, close tools, reporting platforms).
• Support system testing and post‑implementation reviews for all finance system optimizations.
• Improve data reliability and auditability across financial processes.
• Assist with design and documentation of future‑state processes and controls.
