Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a newly created Manager, Accounting Transformation role in Southfield, Michigan. The position focuses on transforming accounting processes, implementing controls, and supporting IPO readiness in a fast-growing environment.

The role requires a CPA or advanced degree preferred, 4+ years in financial accounting with Big 4 exposure, and the ability to optimize close processes while enhancing reporting infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA license preferred.
• Masters degree in accounting preferred.
• 4+ years in progressive financial accounting roles, with Big 4 public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing accounting and finance processes; identify inefficiencies, risks, and automation opportunities.
• Implement enhancements of existing processes through redesign and remediation of identified risks.
• Support IPO readiness initiatives, including documentation and control design for future-state processes and controls.
• Own documentation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Lead finance transformation workstreams through standardization and optimization of financial processes (close optimization, ERP enhancements, reporting redesign).
• Support implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting infrastructure (ERP, close tools, reporting platforms).
• Support system testing and post-implementation reviews for all finance system optimizations.
• Improve data reliability and auditability across financial processes.
• Assist with design and documentation of future-state processes and controls.

Requirements of the Manager, Accounting Transformation

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Active CPA license preferred
• Master’s degree in accounting preferred
• 4+ of progressive financial accounting roles, with Big 4 public accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls
• Experience supporting SOX and related audit requirements
• Working knowledge or understanding of Workiva for regulatory reporting purposes
