Job summary

We are partnering with a high-growth consumer and distribution services firm seeking a strategically driven controllership professional. You will own all accounting and financial operations, including month-end close, reporting, budgeting, analysis, audit, and tax support, reporting to the Controller and partnering with executives.

Your role requires lead coordination with the COO and sales teams, ensuring accurate financial results and insightful analysis across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience in public or private accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Revenue Recognition.
• Experience with general ledger and detailed account analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and P&L for close cycles and reports.
• Track Revenue, Margins, and Cost metrics with stakeholders.
• Oversee cash management including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Review invoicing processes and contract revenue recognition.
• Support FP&A with budget interpretation and variance analysis.
• Assist in annual audit and related financial activities.

Job description

We're working with a High-Growth Consumer and Distribution Services Firm. They are seeking a Strategically driven professional within their Controllership team. Will be responsible for all Accounting and Financial Operations - Month-End, Reporting, Budgeting, Analysis, Supporting Audit, Finance, and Tax Teams. Reporting to Controller - Head of Team, this professional will be working with Executives, COO, and Sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, P&L for Month/Quarter/Year-End accounting close and financial reports
• Responsible for Revenue, Margins and Cost tracking metrics discussed with stakeholders across the business
• Owner of cash management function including forecast, monitor and track cash flow reports while identifying and evaluating variances.
• Review customer invoicing processes and contractual agreements to reconcile revenue.
• Perform key elements of the financial cycle and supporting subsidiary processes.
• Manage detailed variance and fluctuation analyses.
• Assist FP&A with accounting interpretations for budgeted transactions
• Assists in the annual audit.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must, CPA preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience out of Public Accounting or Private Accounting team is a plus
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Revenue Recognition is needed
• In depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and doing detailed account analyses.
