Qualifications

  • Experience with academic partnerships, education, and leadership preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of academic partnerships, including student placements, onboarding, and clearances.
  • Provide leadership support for ASE program including application review, interviews, orientation, graduation, payroll management, and cross-group communication.
  • Support new Academic Practice Partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
  • Provide information to maintain accreditation standards (Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Contribute to superior student clinical experiences and a culture of excellence.
  • Improve day-to-day operations of the academic partnerships service line.
  • Conduct student and faculty orientation, compliance, and facility tours.
  • Coordinate Education Affiliation Agreements for CWT Market.
  • Promote consistent, positive patient/student interactions to advance service.

Job description

The Manager of Academic Partnerships supports the strategic development and operational execution of academic partnerships within the division. This role ensures a seamless experience of connecting faculty/instructors and student onboarding and orientation processes, student clinical rotation experiences, and ensures the clinical rotation coordination of schedules for healthcare clinical students. The manager plays a key role in maintaining accurate records related to affiliation agreements and assisting with industry engagement opportunities, while building and maintaining partnerships across team. The Manager of Academic Partnerships is responsible for accurate data entry, routine data analytics maintenance, and the generation of standard reports to support the effective management of pipeline academic partnerships and contribute to a positive learning environment. This role collaborates closely with academic partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational flow and contribute to future workforce development for nursing and allied health professionals.

  • You will coordinate the day-to-day operations of academic partnerships include supporting prelicensure, post licensure nursing and allied health clinical student placements, onboarding, and clearances.
  • You will provide leadership support and guidance to capstone enhancement program (ASE), including application review, interview scheduling, orientation, graduation, payroll management, and communication across leadership groups to ensure successful conversion to hire.
  • You will support new Academic Practice Partnerships and strengthen existing partnerships.
  • You will support the efforts of market providing required information in a timely manner for the hospital to maintain accreditation standards of the Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid and similar organizations.
  • You will contribute to the development of a superior student clinical experience and a culture-of-excellence.
  • You will contribute and work toward improvement in the day-to-day operations of academic partnerships service line.
  • You will conduct student and faculty orientation, compliance, and facility tours.

  • You will manage and distribute data reports that may include quality, education, and student experience.
  • You will identify, attract, and capture healthcare students into externship/internships/clinical rotations for CWT.
  • You will strengthen student acquisition by building a sense of belonging and bridging practice gaps through intentional rounding.
  • You will develop and enhance relationships with community academic partners that choose HCA for advancing healthcare education in the clinical learning space. Support new academic practice partnerships.
  • You will maintain intentional, formalized relationships with academic partners and facilitate cross-functional collaboration within market teams.
  • You will manage electronic clinical rotation platform to coordinate and issue clearance of students.
  • You will drive strategic tactics to increase healthcare student pipelines, support workforce development programs, and reduce contract labor in clinical roles.
  • You will represent organization in career fairs, education consortiums, and other healthcare related events that directly benefits academic partnerships and healthcare pipeline growth.
  • You will contribute and work toward improvement in the day-to-day operations of assigned market.
  • You will work directly with the K12 healthcare teams to understand the needs of local healthcare workforce, and stay up to date with information about the in-demand healthcare occupations in the market.
  • You will participate and support the strategic planning and business development process by providing various reports as requested, assisting in developing either Word or PowerPoint documents. Provide input on those things that might be needed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
  • You will passionately promote healthcare careers as a pipeline for K-12 awareness.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing strongly preferred- required
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare, education, business or finance- required
  • Experience with academic partnerships, education, and leadership- preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite - preferred
