Job summary

Acclaim Health, operating in collaboration with JPS Health Network, seeks a Manager for the OB Triage Advanced Practice. This role partners with clinical and operational leaders to guide APP services, improve care delivery, and align with department goals in obstetrics and neonatology at Fort Worth facilities.

The Manager will supervise APP staff, ensure licensure and certification compliance, and drive performance improvements across OB triage practices while coordinating with the APP Director

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent master’s level education as Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant.
• 2 years as an actively practicing APP.
• Previous experience in related field of specialty.
• Previous management and/or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between APP staff and supervising physician.
• Coordinate credentialing and privileging processes with Medical Staff Office.
• Collaborate with Acclaim Executive APP and APP Director, Women and Infants for alignment with goals.
• Oversee daily operations and workflow of APPs within assigned areas.
• Assist with department protocols and ensure staff follow these protocols for patient treatment.
• Design and promote professional development initiatives for staff.
• Participate in yearly evaluations for all APP staff as assigned by the APP Director, Women and Infants.

Education

Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent master’s level education as Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant

2 years as an actively practicing APP

Job Summary: The Manager, OB Triage Advanced Practice Provider in partnership withdepartment leadership is responsible for the vision, strategy, direction, andperformance of various domains. In partnership with physician, nursing andoperational leaders, the Manager, Advanced Practice Providers provides operationalleadership and day-to-day management within the assigned behavioral healthdivisions. The manager ensures efficient workflow, high-quality patient caredelivery, and effective coordination of advanced practice provider serviceswhile supporting the strategic initiatives established by department leadership.

Reporting: TheManager, OB Triage Advanced Practice reports to the APP Director, Women andInfants and works in collaboration with the Department Administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between practicing Advanced Practice Provider(APP) staff and supervising physician
• Serve as a liaison between APP staff and Medical Staff Office forcredentialing and privileging
• Collaborate with the Acclaim Executive APP
• Partners with the APP Director, Women and Infants Advance Practice for alignment with Departmental goals
• Management of all OB Triage advanced practitioners including but notlimited to:
  • Ensuring all licensure and certifications are active
  • Appropriate credentialing for scope of practice for all APPs
  • Conflict resolution
  • Coordinates the specificorientations and training for employees, which may include, but is notlimited to:
    • Initial unit-based, job specificcompetencies
    • Computer Based Learning modules
    • Clinic specific testing
    • Assisting withpreceptors/mentors training and assignments
    • Conducting annual needsassessments
    • Documenting and maintainingeducational requirements for clinic staff
  • Fosters collaborative workingrelationships with physicians, management, and clinical staff acrossdepartments to enhance care coordination and ensure optimal patientoutcomes.
  • Designs and promotes professionaldevelopment initiatives to strengthen staff competencies and supportcontinuous learning.
  • Drives continuous performanceimprovement among all APPs in clinical practice while recognizing andbuilding upon current achievements
  • Maintains staff and/or clinicschedule as indicated
  • Participates in regular staffrounding
  • Participates and completes yearlyevaluation for all APP staff as assigned by the APP Director, Women andInfants
  • Oversee daily operations andworkflow of APPs within assigned areas
  • Assist with department protocolsand ensures employees follow these protocols for patient treatment
  • Analyzes job design, workprocesses, and workflow to identify improvement opportunities; implementschanges that enhance departmental effectiveness, productivity, andefficiency while advancing organizational objectives

Qualifications

RequiredEducation and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent master’s leveleducation as Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner or Physician’sAssistant

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in related fieldof specialty

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners orequivalent from licensing board in the State of Texas

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
