Job summary

Trinity Health Kenmare Hospital is seeking a Nutrition Services Manager to lead high-volume food production, cafeteria operations, and meal delivery. You will coordinate patient meals, oversee staff performance, and ensure adherence to diet specifications and safety standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This role requires regulatory knowledge, strong communication, and ability to manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls while supporting catering and retail operations.

Position Summary:The Nutrition Services Manager provides operational leadership for food production, cafeteria services, and meal delivery within Trinity Health Kenmare Hospital, supporting reliable and high-quality nutrition services across the facility. This role oversees high-volume meal preparation, retail and catering activities, and daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient service and consistent nutrition support for patients, staff, and visitors. Working in close partnership with the Director of Nutrition Services, the Nutrition Services Manager helps maintain regulatory compliance, supports department performance goals, and upholds established service, safety, and sanitation standards. The role involves lifting, carrying, and transporting food items, supplies, and equipment of moderate weight, as well as operating commercial kitchen tools and appliances. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are essential for monitoring food quality, ensuring safe equipment use, and communicating effectively in a busy work environment.Environmental Requirements:This position works in a commercial kitchen and food service environment with exposure to heat, cold storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and food preparation equipment. The work setting includes fastpaced meal production, frequent interruptions, and periods of high volume. The Nutrition Services Manager must follow all food safety, infection control, and workplace safety protocols and may experience variable scheduling based on departmental needs.
