Job summary

Community Health Network in Westfield, IN seeks a Manager of Nursing to lead the Emergency Department at our new hospital opening in 2027. This role will shape the nursing team, partner with physicians and the network, and uphold clinical standards and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of RN experience required.
• 3+ years in management/leadership required.
• 3+ years of ED experience strongly preferred.
• Graduate of NLN/CCNE/ACEN programs (2-year/associate).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RN license in Indiana required.
• Nursing Admin certification within 3 years of start.
• Knowledge of performance improvement and budgeting.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving.
• Ability to lead network goals and change process.

The Manager of Nursing will oversee the Emergency Department at our new, state of the art hospital in Westfield, IN.

This is a unique opportunity to initiate a new nursing team. The manager will achieve the goals and objectives of the department through the development of new partnerships between team members, physicians, and the network, consistent with the values, mission, and the vision of Community Health Network. The Manager serves as a leader in providing excellent service, clinical standards, and patient satisfaction goals including patient/physician relationships and staff rounding. This position will ensure staff meets departmental workload and assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and level of care. The Manager will utilize evidence-based practices regarding patient mix, resulting in improved clinical outcomes, and increased patient satisfaction.

• 5 (five) or more years of RN experience is required.
• 3 (three) or more years of management/leadership experience is required.
• 3 (three) or more years of emergency department experience strongly preferred.
• 2-year / associate degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required.
• Certification required in relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three years of assuming the role.
• Knowledge and ability to apply Performance Improvement philosophy.
• Ability to manage financial resources, including departmental budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, be flexible, and problem-solve.
• Operationalize network goals, objectives, and imperatives.
• Understand the change process.Demonstrate leadership competency in effectiveness standards.
