Job summary

Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus is seeking a general management leader to oversee outpatient surgery and endoscopy departments, manage budgets, and direct staff to ensure compliant operations. The role focuses on improving patient care outcomes and operational efficiency within a Catholic health system.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, a nursing degree, and leadership experience; BLS, ACLS required, with unit-based certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• 5 years Nursing/Patient Care experience required.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required; PALS/NRP as applicable by unit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee busy outpatient surgery and endoscopy departments.
• Prepare, manage and control budgets; monitor variances.
• Direct employees to meet mandatory HR requirements.
• Complete staff performance appraisals.
• Ensure quality compliance.

• Prepare, manage and control budget, monitor and analyze variances.
• Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements.

• Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing - Required
• 5 years Nursing/Patient Care - Required
• 2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills - Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) - in state of practice - Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Reuired
• Nursing Leadership Certification - Within 36 months Preferred
• Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance - Required if required by unit:
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association - Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required if required by unit
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Required if required by unit
