CHI Memorial Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a skilled ICU Manager to organize, lead, and direct clinical and nursing operations in the ICU. You will provide daily supervision of patient care, oversee assignments, and ensure adherence to safety and care standards while fostering teamwork across departments.

Strong leadership in clinical management is essential to maintain high quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program; 1–3 years of relevant nursing experience required.
• Registered Nurse (TN) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, lead, and direct clinical and management activities for the designated ICU unit.
• Provide daily, hands-on supervision of patient and nursing care delivery.
• Direct patient assignments and monitor staff performance; address immediate clinical needs.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and safety standards; foster collaboration among healthcare team.
• Demonstrate leadership in clinical management and improve quality of patient care in the ICU.
• Support nurse recruitment and retention; develop staff development programs.
• Achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction in collaboration with other departments.
• Meet regulatory requirements; comply with Joint Commission, life safety, state, and federal standards.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Manager, ICU, you will assist with organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities for the designated nursing unit, contributing significantly to organizational operations and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Every day you will provide daily, hands-on supervision of patient and nursing care delivery. This includes directing patient assignments, managing staff performance, addressing immediate clinical needs, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards, and fostering a collaborative environment among the healthcare team to uphold the highest standards of continuity and quality of patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership in clinical management, a keen ability to organize and direct nursing activities, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of patient care within the Intensive Care Unit.

• Identify and participate in the establishment of Nursing and ancillary staff development programs to support the necessary skills needed to provide outstanding care to the patient population of CHI Memorial.
• Participate in the establishment and annual assurance of competencies for all patient care staff and monitor on an ongoing basis.
• Establish and maintain high levels of physician satisfaction for all services provided.
• Participate in the development and implementation of plans for nurse recruitment and retention.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction.
• Meet the compliance standards of various regulatory bodies which affect the provision of services, to include the Joint Commission, life safety, state, federal and other regulatory bodies.
