Job summary

Saint Joseph Jessamine, RJ Corman Ambulatory Care Center in Jessamine County, Kentucky, is seeking a Nursing Manager to guide and empower our nursing team toward patient-centered care, safety, and continuous improvement. You will mentor RNs, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for both patients and staff while building strong professional development and achieving unit goals.

Strong communication and accountability are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN and a minimum of 3 years RN experience at hire.
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience (e.g., RN-Charge) at hire.
• Equivalent leadership capabilities may be considered with executive approval.
• Registered Nurse in Kentucky at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6–months.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor nursing staff to deliver patient-centered care.
• Oversee clinical operations and workflow for the unit.
• Ensure staffing patterns and availability of qualified staff.
• Develop staffing plans and support staff development, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
• Maintain accountability and effective communication across the team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nursing Manager, you will be a dynamic leader, guiding and empowering our nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence.

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Supervises assigned professional, technical, and clerical staff of the department to ensure the quality of work.
• Manages the workflow of the unit to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
• Implements and supports patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs.
• Develops staffing patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs.
• Works to develop and retain highly skilled and well-rounded staff including hiring, orienting, training, directing work, evaluating performance and assuring clinical competency.
