Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking a Charge RN to oversee a nursing unit, assign and evaluate patient care, and support frontline nurses in acute care settings in Lexington, KY. You will use your RN experience to lead a team, ensure quality care, and drive staff development.

The role requires 2 years of RN experience, KY RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and ACLS within 90 days. A sign-on bonus up to $25,000 and student loan assistance up to $24,000 are included as stated incentives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of personnel on Nursing Units and assign/evaluate patient care.
• Proactively match resources to provide patient care and maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Monitor staffing productivity and align resources with patient care needs.
• Communicate personnel concerns to the Unit Manager.
• Apply a logical, systematic approach to problem-solving in the unit.
• Advance Patient Experience best practices on the unit (hourly rounding, etc.).

This position is eligible for up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus AND up to $24,000 Student Loan Assistance

As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

• Provides direct supervision of personnel practicing on Nursing Units, makes patient care assignments, evaluates assignments, facilitates patient throughout, and directly observes staff performance on their assigned shift.
• Proactively matches existing resources seeking ways to provide patient care that supports staff and maintains a therapeutic environment.
