Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of new product introduction, from design to production release.
• Serve as primary liaison for internal teams and external customers, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing operations to meet technical and operational requirements.
• Drive accountability for customer and internal deliverables, escalating issues as needed to maintain project success.
• Identify and address critical path items to ensure timely execution and quality outcomes.
• Promote continuous improvement through problem-solving and innovative application of technology.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

UCT is looking for a talented Manager, NPI to join us in Austin, TX!

The NPI Program Manager leads new product introduction projects from concept through prototype and production release, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational objectives. This role manages project planning, resource allocation, and execution to meet schedule and budget targets. Acting as the primary point of contact, the manager drives cross-functional collaboration, maintains status reporting, and fosters continuous improvement to deliver customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong project management skills with ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Critical thinking and risk mitigation capabilities in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., Clarizen); familiarity with CAD preferred.
• Knowledge of New Product Introduction processes and product lifecycle management.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments desirable.
• Multilingual proficiency (English/Mandarin) preferred for Asia-based projects.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree/work experience in a related technical field.
• Professional PM certification strongly desired.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

• 6+ years in engineering positions in design, manufacturing, or test.
• 3+ years program management experience in medical, semiconductor, energy, research, or related capital equipment industries.
• Experience in capital equipment manufacturing in the semiconductor, energy, research, or related industries is preferred.
• Strong track record in managing successful NPI programs.
