Ultra Clean Technology in Austin, TX, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the weld and assembly teams, develop production schedules, and hire/train staff. The role requires ensuring clean room standards, coordinating with materials, engineering and quality teams, and driving on-time delivery and quality objectives.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year supervisory experience in high-tech manufacturing and a background in semiconductor capital equipment, with strong leadership and communication

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in semiconductor capital equipment preferred.
• 1+ years supervisory experience in high-technology manufacturing required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises manufacturing personnel in the weld and assembly areas.
• Develops work schedules.
• Hires, trains, and develops staff members.
• Maintains a current training/skill matrix.
• Oversees all production issues for a work group or shift.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area to Clean Room standards.
• Works closely with materials, engineering, quality, and other staff to ensure delivery schedules are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
• Effectively manages individuals and teams including performance management, conflict resolution, work scheduling, training, and successful accomplishment of delivery and quality objectives.
• Completes manufacturing related projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications; Visual preferred.

Educational/Certification Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering discipline/equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry highly preferred. Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment desired. Prior experience in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement projects desired.

Management Experience

• 1+ years supervisory experience in high-technology manufacturing required.

Environmental Exposure

• Works in a manufacturing area, with some changes of temperature, as well as throughout the premises.
• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
• May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computer etc.

Overnight Travel

• Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
