Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Health seeks a Manager of Network Services to lead the enterprise network and Data Network operations across the organization, ensuring security and resilient connectivity for clinical, business, and operational needs.

You will drive modernization, oversee LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN, data center connectivity, and incident response, while collaborating with Information Security and service delivery teams to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Required - Bachelor's Degree Computer Sciences.
  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Information Technology.
  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Network Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute enterprise network strategies supporting clinical, business, and operational objectives.
  • Lead network modernization initiatives, network lifecycle management, and infrastructure roadmaps.
  • Ensure network availability, performance, scalability, redundancy, and resiliency.
  • Manage enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Internet, cloud, and data center connectivity environments.
  • Oversee monitoring, alerting, capacity management, and network performance optimization.
  • Lead implementation of network segmentation, access control, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Support network requirements for hospitals and clinics.
  • Partner with Information Security to support secure network architecture and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Participate in incident response, threat mitigation, vulnerability remediation, and risk management activities.
  • Ensure adherence to network security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and post-deployment support.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules, budgets, risks, and communications for assigned initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and managed service solutions.
  • Takes initiative and manages vendor relationships, contracts, support agreements, and service level expectations.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support and escalation activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Ensure projects and operational tasks are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide executive-level communication regarding projects, risks, outages, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

The Manager, Network Services is responsible for the leadership, management, maintenance, security, and strategic advancement of the enterprise network infrastructure support of the Methodist Data Network. A Brief Overview

Education Qualifications


  • Required - Bachelor's Degree Computer sciences

Experience Qualifications


  • Required - Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in networking, infrastructure operations and information technology management. Experience leading enterprise network projects

  • Substitution - Associate's degree in computer science MIS or related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in networking, infrastructure operations and information technology management in lieu of Bachelor's degree requirement.


Skills and Abilities


  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills

  • Knowledge of enterprise networking protocols and infrastructure design

  • Experience with Cisco ISE, NAC, SD-WAN, SIP trunking and Zero Trust security models

  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies and enterprise monitoring platforms

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated leadership in the management of people, hardware, software, and other resources.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and customer service skills

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Expertise in network routing, switching, wireless technologies, and firewalls

  • Ability to travel between hospital, clinic, and remote locations

  • Ability to work extended hours during outages, system implementations, and critical incidents


Licenses and Certifications


  • Preferred - Certified Network Professional - Cisco Systems

  • Preferred - Cisco Certified Network Associate - Cisco Systems
