Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineering Manager to lead a team of mobile software engineers, drive project execution, and partner with product, design, data, and editorial teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive recruitment, and oversee technical planning, code reviews, and workflow improvements to ship robust mobile apps.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, or leading mobile software engineers within an agile organization.
• Experience as an individual contributor in engineering, testing, and shipping robust code for at least one large-scale mobile application.
• Hands-on proficiency in modern mobile platform languages (Swift/Obj-C or Kotlin/Java).
• Strong knowledge of native mobile release infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with Git and modern version control systems.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional Agile/Scrum product teams.
