Washington Hospital in Fremont is seeking a Director of Medical Staff Services to oversee credentialing, privileging, and related administrative functions. You will work with Medical Staff Leadership to plan and maintain support structures in accordance with bylaws, regulations, and hospital policy.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least five years in medical staff management, and preferred CPMSM/CPCS certification.
Salary Range: $125,000 - $188,000 annually
Directs and manages organizational and administrative functions related to the Medical Staff Services Department, including staffing, confidential practitioner database administration, survey preparation/coordination, credentialing, privileging, focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation, committees, GME and CME. Responsible for working with Medical Staff Leadership in planning, developing, and maintaining the support structure necessary for the Medical Staff to carry out its duties and responsibilities pursuant to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, regulatory requirements, and Hospital policy. Comprehensive expertise and knowledge in Medical Staff related issues. Manages and oversees Medical Staff, collection of dues, financial reports, and payment of stipends for Medical Staff Officers, Department & Committee Chairs. Functions as the liaison for the Medical Staff and legal counsel. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below may also be assigned other duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree, Preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Staff Management, preferably in an acute care hospital setting, Required.
Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) or Credentials Specialist (CPCS) as issued by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is strongly preferred.
