A leading company is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to enhance clinical practice in Allergy and Dermatology. The role involves engaging with healthcare providers, managing territory, and executing medical strategies to improve patient outcomes. Candidates should have a strong clinical background and reside near the territory. Travel is expected.
This position focuses on multiple disease states within Allergy and Dermatology Therapeutic areas.
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role is a field-based, customer-facing, non-promotional medical and scientific position. The MSL’s key objective is to create impact through advancing clinical practice within the assigned territory that leads to improved patient outcomes. The MSL must demonstrate deep therapeutic expertise, understand territory and market influences, engage scientifically with Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and medical experts, manage and develop their territory, and execute all relevant activities in alignment with the medical strategic and tactical plan—while functioning within the Novartis Code of Conduct, Ethics/Compliance policies, and Working Practice documents. The MSL will inform and shape medical strategy through application of a curious mindset to collect impactful and actionable insights, understanding the potential strategic impact of critical insights.
This territory will cover Pennsylvania (excluding Philadelphia). The preferred location for the successful candidate is near a major airport. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the territory border; relocation is not available.
Additional responsibilities include providing clinical trial support, collaborating with internal teams, maintaining in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas and products, adhering to policies and regulations, executing administrative tasks promptly, and proactively driving personal and professional development.
The salary range at the start for a Manager is expected to be between $145,600 and $270,400 annually. Final compensation depends on various factors including location, experience, and skills. The total package may include bonuses, stock units, and other benefits such as medical, financial, and paid time off benefits. Final salary adjustments may occur based on performance and market conditions.
Education: Graduate degree in science or healthcare required; doctoral degree preferred (MD, PhD, DNP, PharmD, etc.).
Experience:
Strong clinical knowledge, understanding of regulations, and adherence to compliance policies are required. Candidates must reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance. Travel of approximately 60-70% is expected.
