Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Manager of Medical Education to oversee the administration of the medical education program, ensuring high quality clinical learning environments and compliance with accreditation standards.

The role partners with the program director, manages accreditation processes, budgets, recruitment, policies, data systems, and communications to keep the residency and fellowship programs running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain program accreditation with ACGME and data fields on the Accreditation Data System.
• Manage regulatory activities including accreditation, board specific requirements and medical licensure.
• Oversee residency recruitment activities including the Electronic Residency Application System, screen candidates, prepare and submit rank lists and onboarding.
• Develop and implement residency and fellowship policies, data collection, and monitoring processes to ensure compliance.
• Manage the program budget, including travel and reconciliation, to keep the program within budget.
• Analyze administrative workflow, prioritize tasks, and manage projects to meet deadlines; oversee coordinator and communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Manager Medical Education shares in the implementation and compliance of all aspects of the management and administration of the medical education program. This position plans, implements and oversees academic, operational, and financial activities in the medical education program to create a high quality clinical learning environment.

Essential Job Function

• Works alongside the program director to maintain program accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and maintain data fields on the Accreditation Data System.
• Manages regulatory activities including accreditation, board specific requirements and medical licensure.
• Manages recruiting activities for the residency to include managing the Electronic Residency Application System for program applicants, screening candidates, preparing and submitting rank lists, preparing and submitting new hire paperwork and planning departmental orientations.
• Develops and implements residency and fellowship program policies, data collection, and monitoring processes as required by the ACGME, in conjunction with program director and the GME Office to ensure compliance.
• Manages the program's budget, including oversight of faculty and trainee travel and reconciliation, to ensure the program functions at/below budget.
• Owns activities such as analyzing administrative workflow, prioritizing tasks and project management as needed to meet deadlines, report compilation, data maintenance, overseeing coordinator, and program relations/communications both externally and internally.
