Job Description
Job Summary

Collects, validates, analyzes, and organizes data into meaningful reports for management decision making. Designs, develops, tests, and deploys reports for operational and strategic analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Manages and provides oversight of the Medical Economics Team activities and personnel. Offers technical expertise, manages relationships with operational leaders and staff. Directs project staff, maintains work plans to meet reporting needs, and oversees staff performance, coaching, and career development.

  • Daily management of Data Management, Tools & Technology work streams.
  • Allocates new report/project requests and manages workload distribution.
  • Coordinates with the Medical Economics team to meet data analysis and database development needs.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and improves business logic and data sources.
  • Mentors and supports staff with analysis questions.
  • Ensures accuracy and clarity of analyst work products.
  • Reviews regulatory reporting requirements and project documentation.
  • Maintains reporting service level benchmarks for the EIM team.
  • Represents the department in cross-departmental meetings.
  • Serves as liaison between EIM and Medical Economics for reporting needs.
  • Creates reports for strategic analysis, profitability, financial metrics, utilization, and medical management.
  • Maintains positive interactions with Health Plan and Corporate personnel.
Job Qualifications
Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Required Experience
  • At least 3 years of management or team leadership experience.
  • Preferably 10 years' work experience with claims data and/or in healthcare environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL, and Power BI report development.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC.
Preferred Education

Master's Degree in related fields.

Preferred Experience
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Population Health/Clinical Analytics and Clinical Program Evaluation.
  • Experience building clinical targeting models for Case Management.
  • Interest or experience in learning Python/PySpark.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong healthcare domain interest and understanding of analytics nuances.
  • Self-motivated to learn and expand skills.

Pay Range: $88,453 - $165,000 annually. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, education, and skills.
