Job Description
Job Summary

Collects, validates, analyzes, and organizes data into meaningful reports for management decision making, as well as designing, developing, testing, and deploying reports for operational and strategic analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Manages and provides oversight of Medical Economics Team activities and personnel. Provides technical expertise, manages relationships with operational leaders and staff. Directs staff on projects, maintains work plans, and ensures reporting needs are met. Responsible for staff performance, coaching, development, and career growth.

  • Manage Data management, Tools & Technology work streams daily.
  • Allocate new report/project requests (workload distribution).
  • Coordinate with Medical Economics team to meet data analysis and database development needs.
  • Review, evaluate, and improve business logic and data sources.
  • Mentor and support staff with analysis questions.
  • Review analyst work products for accuracy and clarity.
  • Review regulatory reporting requirements and project documentation.
  • Maintain reporting service level benchmarks for the EIM team.
  • Represent Medical Economics in cross-departmental meetings.
  • Serve as liaison between EIM and Medical Economics for reporting needs.
  • Create reports for strategic analysis, profitability, financial analysis, utilization patterns, and medical management.
  • Maintain positive interactions with Health Plan and Corporate personnel.
Job Qualifications
Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Required Experience
  • At least 3 years of management or team leadership experience.
  • Preferably 10 years of work experience with claims data and/or in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI report development.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC.
Preferred Education

Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Experience
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Population Health/Clinical Analytics.
  • Experience in Clinical Program Evaluation.
  • Experience building clinical targeting models for Case Management.
  • Interest or experience in Python/PySpark.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Interest in healthcare analytics and understanding of industry nuances.
  • Self-motivated to learn and expand skills.

Pay Range: $88,453 - $165,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skills.
