Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Manager, Materials Planning and Production Control SME for an onsite position in Tucson, AZ. The role emphasizes KPI development, material information flow, standardized processes, and alignment with factory/program goals.

The candidate will lead capacity planning, demand forecasting, and interdepartmental coordination with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering, while promoting continuous improvement initiatives. DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, Factory Flow, logistics, or other production driven experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

• Develop tracking and monitoring at the factory level to support factory material goals and ensure compliance.
• Promote process standardization and best practices: collaborate on, document, and implement standardized production control processes across the factory. Identify, promote, and share best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
• Work closely with factory operations to ensure production control strategies align with broader program goals and constraints.
• Support capacity planning and demand forecasting and resource allocation to meet factory requirements.
• Support and drive improvement opportunities to optimize production control workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
• Participates in projects and or teams to accomplish continuous improvement – CORE.
• This is an onsite role in Tucson Arizona.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Materials Planning and production control Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This role is critical in driving operational excellence by developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing material information flow strategies, standardizing processes, and aligning production control operations with the factory and program goals.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in planning and production control in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
• Experience with Wave track and in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.
• Experience working with MS Office applications.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
