Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a Manager of Materials Planning to create production and material schedules that meet on-time delivery targets. This leader will coordinate with purchasing and inventory control for adjustments and troubleshoot complex issues as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with extensive experience in people management and field experience, or a Master's degree with related leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years in the field or 4+ years in people management.
• Master's degree with at least 6 years in the field and 2+ years in people management.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods to measure and monitor material flow on the manufacturing floor (WIP management).
• Utilize core metrics and KPIs to lead planning and production control teams to meet production requirements.
• Collaborate on what-if scenarios, push outs, and pull ins to optimize schedules.
• Participate in SIOP process with Master Planners to ensure WIP aligns with minimal compression.
• Coordinate with peers to ensure alignment and transparency of the build process.
• Develop and manage the planning schedule.

Job Description

The Manager, Materials Planning is responsible for creating the production and material schedules to meet on time delivery targets. In addition, this leader will coordinate with key stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods and standards to measure and monitor flow and control of material on the manufacturing floors (WIP management)
• Utilize and manage core metrics and Key Process Indicators to lead the planning and production control teams in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements
• Work with the teams to capitalize on opportunities and issues such as what if scenarios, push outs and pull ins
• Participate in SIOP process working closely, and serving as a backup, with the Master Planners to ensure job orders/WIP is in line with minimal compression
• Work with peer groups to ensure alignment and transparency of the build process
• Manage the development of the planning schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree: Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field. OR Masters Degree: Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field.
