Job summary

Abbott Point of Care in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Process Engineering to lead a high-performing team of scientists and engineers. The role is on-site at the Princeton office and focuses on developing diagnostic products from concept through commercialization, with a portfolio spanning infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics, and toxicology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team for designing, developing, and testing new point-of-care diagnostics.
• Guide product development activities, ensuring designs are reliable, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with customer and business needs.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and senior leadership to deliver projects.
• Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and unmet customer needs that can shape future product innovation.
• Contribute to business strategies and product roadmaps that support Abbott Point of Care's growth and innovation goals.
• Solve complex technical and business challenges while balancing product performance, customer experience, timelines, and costs.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within your team.
• Stay current on advancements in diagnostics, healthcare technology, and point-of-care testing to help keep Abbott at the forefront of the industry.

The Opportunity

The Manager Manufacturing Process Engineering role is based out of our Princeton, NJ office. This role is on site daily and will have direct reports. This role is based out of our Point of Care division. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics, and toxicology.

What You’ll Work On

As a leader within Abbott Point of Care, you'll help drive the development of innovative diagnostic products that enable healthcare providers to make faster, more informed decisions for patients. You'll lead a team of scientists and/or engineers focused on bringing new ideas from concept through commercialization while enhancing existing products and technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant product development, engineering, scientific, or technical leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading projects and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Medical Device or Regulatory Device experience.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00
