Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Engineering – Level 2 to join our team in Azusa, CA.

Manager Manufacturing Engineering – Level 2 is responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs).

Program Manager responsibilities include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversees and manages all operational aspects of a (one or more) manufacturing and/or production area(s)
• Responsible for the safety of the employees, delivering quality products on time and within customer cost targets, as well as continuous improvement
• Provides leadership direction of design and process development, production, operations, engineering, test and Quality Assurance functions
• Manages and presents status on cost, schedule and performance for all projects within the area
• Assesses issues and develops mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional - OR – PhD with 4 years of experience
• Experience both in Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering, Production support or industry related experience
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience running a team and assigning their daily tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field
• Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering experience / Prefer Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering Degree
• Space Systems experience
• Greater than 2 years of documented experience working in a robust IPT environment
• Strong expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools
• MES Integration Expertise, SAP experience
• Current security clearance
• Demonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts: ERP2, PLM, TipQA, Cognos Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing Experience

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
