We are seeking a highly Manufacturing Engineering Manager to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. Serve as a key leader within the organization that helps to drive change and cultural growth in support of improvements in Safety, Engagement, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager serves as the primary contact for supporting the preparation of customer quotations and subsequent contract execution by performing a technical review of customer requirements and developing the required manufacturing processes and supporting documentation, along with the development of bills of materials and estimated labor times/costs. This position requires working closely with other departments including Purchasing, Operations, Quality and Sales. This position may also require routine interfacing with customers, vendors, and various levels of the organization.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager also helps lead continuous improvement, implementation of lean philosophies, and engagement of all team members within the operations group. This is done through the development of staff capabilities and demonstrating personal capabilities to lead through a changing and dynamic environment. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the facilities CAPEX budget and ensuring that mid-long term CAPEX planning supports organizational growth initiatives.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, and risk of shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold and wet, humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
