Job description

Job Summary: The Manager of Management and Productivity Reporting will lead and coordinate departmental and institute financial and metric reporting, system labor benchmarking, and productivity reporting. This role will inform decision-making and ensure goal achievement by managing and facilitating reporting processes and analytics that measure progress to targets and benchmarks. Additionally, this role will assist Finance Partners' teams to educate operations managers and administrators.

Job Duties:

  1. Identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  2. Serve as the expert resource for enterprise physician and non-physician productivity benchmarking tools.
  3. Develop metric and benchmark scorecards, trend and variance reports, and dashboards that meet the needs of Finance Partners and Operations Administrators.
  4. Define and organize physician RVU and hospital data against established benchmarks and targets; recommend changes to system leaders as appropriate.
  5. Implement, develop, and maintain enterprise management and productivity reporting software, templates, and tools.
  6. Prepare quarterly reports for submission and distribution to system leaders.
  7. Provide expertise to multidisciplinary teams for interpreting results to achieve performance improvement and high reliability outcomes.
  8. Collaborate with Finance Partners to educate operations management on financial and productivity metrics and benchmarks.
  9. Conduct statistical measurement studies to monitor and improve business processes through data collection or observations.
  10. Collaborate with Physician Compensation for physician benchmarking updates as needed.
  11. Work with the Decision Support team to develop cost accounting methodologies that support profitability reporting by various categories.
  12. Partner with the Financial Planning team to incorporate benchmark and metric target goals into forecasting processes.
  13. Participate in special projects, committees, and initiatives to support finance and operational efforts.
  14. Assist with workload prioritization and delegation, provide performance reviews, and set goals for direct reports. Promote training and development within the team.
  15. Develop and maintain strong business partner relationships across the organization.
  16. Support colleagues in finance, acting as an ambassador for finance when working with stakeholders.
