Job summary

Starbucks seeks a Manager Logistics Services to drive end-to-end logistics excellence from manufacturing to 3PL and internal DCs. You will lead cross-functional teams, shape cost-efficient processes, and ensure on-time product flow with strong collaboration across functions.

The role emphasizes developing scalable logistics services, optimizing costs, and implementing tech-enabled solutions in alignment with Starbucks standards and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Supply chain operations experience in multiple departments (4-6 years). Foodservice and/or consumer packaged good industry experience preferred.
• Experience establishing and implementing systems, processes, and tools for business unit/department (4-6 years)
• Cross-functional experience in three or more areas: procurement, production, DC operations, shipping and transportation, inventory control, vendor management and engineering, management (including building and leading cross-functional teams) (1-3 years)

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports enables success, builds confidence in leadership, and works as a team to achieve business results

• Maximize return on resources when managing teams requests
• Communicate and influence cross-functionally, both within KFP and across business partner teams
• Prepare, communicate and educate client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
• Plan and manage business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
• Manage resource plans for various initiatives and build process supporting business strategy by sequencing workload and resources.
• Implement processes to reduce overall logistics costs through optimization and influencing other business areas
• Ensure proper execution of product, packaging and shelf-life requirements. Is involved in investigating and issue resolution/recovery when requirements are not met.
• Develop and enhance processes and procedures for effective order and customer management. Identifies cost and benefit of potential improvements and manages the implementation of improvements. Utilizes internal measurements and provides ongoing audit for continuous improvement
• Manage the development and implementation of technology related systems procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to determine technology and applications to support new client programs. Manage the assessment and analysis of overall effectiveness of systems to ensure optimum performance of applications, including contact management, reporting, order entry and related systems.
• Be knowledgeable of the regulatory and legal aspects as relating to economics of distributions and transportation; as well as all aspects of distribution services, costs, operations and negotiations.
• Understand the unique business requirements for customer and Channel Development field team and be able to effectively translate that into an actionable request/project within the Supply Chain function and vice versa.
• Act as [MW7] cross-functional liaison between Starbucks business units, supply chain, stores and retailer.
• Use problem-solving and alternative analysis methodologies to assess the financial and operational impact of business initiatives. Assesses critical information required to make effective decisions or recommendations for process changes.
• Develop and manage ongoing relationships with SCO, support functions, customers and vendors to improve service levels
• Must have a solid understanding and be able to educate others on product shelf life.

As a Manager Logistics Services, You Will

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
