Job summary

Municipal Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Lending Product Manager to lead end-to-end development of lending products, driving profitability and strategic objectives.

You will collaborate with Technology, Lending, Operations, Compliance and Marketing to bring product deliverables to execution, and own the Go-to-Market strategy for new launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or eight years of related experience.
• Minimum five years in product management, development or marketing.
• Expert knowledge of consumer lending products in banking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure soundness of the consumer loan portfolio and develop long-term strategies.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of consumer lending products: ideation, market analysis, design, development, pricing and enhancements.
• Monitor portfolio trends, P&L, pricing and delinquency; propose corrective actions.
• Set benchmarks for lending product performance and provide reporting and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Technology, Lending and Operations to deliver product milestones.
• Engage Compliance, Legal, Fair Lending and Risk in development.
• Own Go-to-Market strategy with Lending, Retail, Digital and Marketing for new launches.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Overview:

The Consumer Lending Product Manager provides leadership and oversight of translating strategic objectives into actionable product initiatives for Consumer Lending Products. The manager ensures that Lending products reach profitability and strategic objectives, and serves as a principal point of contact for Product Management with our internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensure overall soundness of loan Consumer portfolio, with the ability to identify and develop long term strategies that will include initiatives such as product mix, growth goals, strategic and market penetration objectives
• Product Development and Management: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of Consumer Lending Products, including ideation, market analysis, design, development, testing, pricing, fees, and ongoing enhancement
• Product Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor and report on portfolio trends including P&L, Lending Production management, pricing and delinquency management on shorter vs longer term product offerings. Provide corrective action recommendations when performance is not in line with expectations
• Market research and analysis: Set, maintain and monitor benchmarks of lending products performance. Provide reporting, analysis and recommendations.
• Work with Technology, Lending and Lending Operations to support and bring-forth Product Deliverables to execution
• Engage Compliance, Legal, Fair Lending, and Risk business partners throughout product development.
• Own Go-to-Market strategy alongside Lending, Retail, Digital and Marketing for any new product launches
• Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BBA, etc.) required or a minimum of eight years directly related experience
• Minimum of five years of product management, product development or product marketing experience required
• Expert Banking knowledge of Consumer Lending Products and services
• Strong reporting, decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, member oriented and able to proactively work independently as well as within a team.
• Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

The pay range for this position is between $106,300-180,090 annually. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, 401(k) with an 6% employer match per pay period. Benefits for this position include Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays annually.
