Manager, Learning and Research for a 125+ employee (and growing) remote education non-profit providing professional learning to K-12 educators nationally

Type of Vacancy:

Director, Learning & Research or Senior Director, Learning & Research

Supervises:

Dependent on the project, the Manager, Learning & Research may be a Project Leader with project team supervision and leadership development responsibilities

Compensation:

The full salary range for this position is $80,000 - $121,007 annually. This range represents the full earning potential for the role, including opportunities for salary growth over time based on performance, tenure, and organizational budget. The anticipated hiring range is $80,000 - $105,529, with salaries generally capped at 105% of the midpoint ($105,529) to support growth. Experience considered includes relevant role experience and total working experience across all fields, including internships, part-time work, and consulting. Salary offers are determined collaboratively with the hiring manager and the People and Culture team based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Learning & Research collaborates within the department and with program teams to evaluate and share the impact of our professional learning. The role involves managing systems and processes, supporting research initiatives, and strengthening research design capacity and organizational culture.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Implement program evaluation:
    • Develop and execute evaluation designs in collaboration with project teams
    • Advise on data collection, analyze data, interpret findings, and support dissemination
    • Develop and refine data collection tools and support data analysis and reporting
  2. Support research initiatives:
    • Facilitate external research collaborations and manage data collection for impact evaluation
    • Manage formative research cycles, including data analysis and dissemination
  3. Engage in cross-functional collaboration:
    • Work with other departments on grant applications and organizational strategies
    • Respond to evaluation and data system issues promptly
  4. Engage in continuous learning:
    • Stay updated on research in the field, build skills, and deliver training
    • Seek feedback and adjust evaluation tools accordingly
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience in program evaluation, data analysis, and data management
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (Excel, R, Python) and survey platforms (Qualtrics)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship management skills

Desired:

  • Advanced degree in relevant fields and experience with K-12 education data
