Under the supervision of the Administrative Laboratory Director, this role manages, assesses, and coordinates all lab system operations, integrations, and communications with the IT department. It involves working closely with IT at Chester County Hospital and Penn Medicine to ensure lab systems are functioning properly. The role also supports the Laboratory Administrative team to maintain accreditation compliance with CAP, TJC, CLIA, AABB, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Oversight of in-patient and out-patient phlebotomy is also required. The candidate should demonstrate collaboration skills with a positive demeanor and comply with all department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education, Training, and Experience
Medical Technologist with laboratory system experience is highly preferred. Experience with Sunquest, CoPath, EPIC, and Beaker is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office, including Access and Crystal Reports, is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Required
MLS, MT, or MLT certification or eligibility.
