Job summary

SkyVest is seeking a Manager, IT Infrastructure and Network to design, build, and run the company’s enterprise IT environment. You will own corporate IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and networking while collaborating with the Cybersecurity Manager and the MSPs to keep environments secure by design.

The role reports to the Vice President of Information Technology and requires hands-on leadership across Azure, AWS, AD/Entra ID, and modern networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT field.
• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure and networking experience.
• Hands-on cloud design in Azure or AWS; strong AD/Entra ID/M365/Intune.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain secure enterprise IT infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Manage identity and directory services (AD, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP) and enterprise authentication.
• Design backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Establish standards for servers, storage, virtualization, and endpoint management.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers; secure remote access for a distributed workforce.
• Oversee network monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation.
• Develop the enterprise infrastructure roadmap and lead modernization initiatives.

About This Position

SkyVest is building out a best-in-class asset management platform to manage and maximize the value of our asset portfolio. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Manager, IT Infrastructure and Network. This role will design, build, and operate the company’s enterprise technology environment. This role is hands on and owns corporate IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and networking, and works closely with SkyVest’s Cybersecurity Manager, and with SkyVest’s managed security services provider where applicable, to keep those environments secure by design.

This role reports to the Vice President, Information Technology.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud

• Architect, build, and maintain secure, highly available enterprise IT infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS), including cloud governance, cost optimization, and Infrastructure as Code standards
• Manage identity and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, PKI) and enterprise authentication, in partnership with the Cybersecurity Manager
• Design enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Establish standards for servers, storage, virtualization, and endpoint management
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity across headquarters, remote offices, substations, and generation sites
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers; implement network segmentation and secure remote access for a distributed workforce
• Oversee network monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation

Monitoring & Operations

• Build monitoring, logging, and observability across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and networking, with proactive alerting and dashboards to maintain uptime and reliability
• Establish operational procedures, documentation, and change management.
• Manage infrastructure and networking vendors, managed service providers, and related capital/operational budgets
• Partner with the Cybersecurity Manager and site teams on secure network segmentation between corporate IT and OT environments
• Develop the enterprise infrastructure roadmap and lead infrastructure modernization initiatives

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure and networking
• Hands-on experience designing and building cloud infrastructure in Azure or AWS
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN)
• Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies: Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Intune
• Working knowledge of disaster recovery/business continuity and scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)

Preferred Background

• Exposure to renewable energy, utilities, power generation, or critical infrastructure
• Familiarity with OT/industrial networking concepts
• Relevant certification: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, or CCNP

Additional Role Information

• Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone
• Position is based in either Houston, TX or Newtown, PA
• Position requires 30% travel to other SkyVest and ArcLight offices, as well as to generation assets
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without that the need for current sponsorship by the Company
