Position Summary
The Manager IT Field Services will assist the IT Director in providing technology vision for developing and implementing information technology (IT) initiatives that improve cost effectiveness, health care quality, and business development in a constantly changing, competitive marketplace. The Manager will lead the field services team in planning and implementing efficient service delivery processes and a high level of customer service to support both distributed and centralized clinical and business operations and achieve more cost beneficial enterprise‑wide IT infrastructure and operations.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities)
- Stay abreast of advances in technology.
- Evaluate the organization's technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
- Maintain responsibility for division’s operational forecasts and expenditures.
- Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and review operational reports or project progress reports.
- Request necessary equipment related to specific projects, tasks, or tickets.
- Maintain the responsibility of managing all information and communication systems, including but not limited to voice, data, imaging, and other forms of office and medical automations.
- Coordination, facilitation, and consultation with all health care network staff on information systems, communications, and patient management systems initiatives.
- Partner with the Systems and Infrastructure teams to ensure the health care network is current with the information systems standards set by the Joint Commission and regulatory entities.
- Participate proactively with other members of the health care network management team in developing and executing strategic plans to optimize the use of information technology in support of health care and business objectives.
- Participate in policy and decision making at the health care network level regarding resource allocation and future direction and oversight of proposed information systems.
- Participate as an integral and active member in the strategic planning process of the health care enterprise.
- Develop, coordinate, guide, and maintain IT systems strategic and operations plans in support of the overall clinical/patient‑focused mission and business strategy.
- Support a field services team that maintains an enterprise systems architecture, defining standards and protocols for data exchange, communications, software, and interconnection of health care network information systems.
- Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems and hardware that aligns with the organizational strategic plan.
- Provide responsive advice, counsel, education, and service to the health care network concerning IT issues and trends in the IT industry.
- Communicate IT plans, policies, and technology trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staff.
- Determine pertinent information required by management in making effective decisions. Ensure that the gathering, processing, distribution, and use of this information occurs in a timely, accurate, and cost‑effective manner through on‑going review and education programs at executive, management, and user levels.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure capable of supporting the information needs of operating entities through appropriate and cost‑effective information technology.
- Research and evaluate alternatives for the enhancement or re‑engineering of IT. Develop, coordinate, and manage the incorporation of enhancements to and re‑engineering of the health care network systems, in keeping with the needs and objectives of the enterprise.
- Provide quality service to end users in needs analysis, solution recommendation, implementation, training, and post‑installation support.
- Ensure that remote and on‑site services are provided efficiently across the organization while providing a high level of customer service.
- Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of enterprise IT assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the enterprise.
- Aid in the development of an enterprise‑wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disaster.

Skills & Abilities
Education: Associate’s Degree in IT‑related field required; Bachelor’s Degree in IT‑related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement upon review and validation.
Experience: Minimum of three years management experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; and customized software. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies. Comprehensive knowledge of data processing methods and procedures and computer software systems; business office operations as it pertains to third‑party billing and reimbursement activities; equipment and software characteristics of various computer systems; systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installations, evaluation, and operational management; and business process analysis and redesign.

Other Requirements: Ability to relate with effectiveness to the public, patients, and the health care providers of the health center; ability to effectively perform several duties of the department and to organize and achieve goals in a busy setting as well as effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
