Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Lab Systems leader at the Rensselaer site to oversee benchtop/instrument software (Endoscan V, SoftMax Pro, DataPro2) and drive system enhancements.

You will mentor staff, coordinate across departments, and ensure adherence to cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA+ data integrity while supporting QA validation and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, science, engineering, CS, or related field.
• 6+ years relevant experience with 2+ years managing teams (Associate Manager level).
• 7+ years relevant experience with 3+ years managing teams (Manager level).
• Experience with validating QC computers and software per cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11.

• Lead and develop the Lab Systems team, overseeing system administration and enhancements for benchtop and instrument software (Endoscan V, SoftMax Pro, DataPro2) across the Rensselaer site
• Supervise performance management and people development; coach and mentor direct reports
• Coordinate requirements gathering, system design priorities, and implementation timelines across lab departments
• Develop/revise methods, record keeping, policies, and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements
• Partner with QA to maintain validated QC computers and software; implement change control and support validation using SDLC
• Investigate and resolve software and IT hardware issues with QC instrumentation; support regulatory and internal audits
• Partner with business teams and IT leadership; help develop strategy, manage operational budgets, and support long-term Lab Systems planning
• Apply knowledge of cGMP, GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and ALCOA+ / data integrity principles
• Preferred: ITIL certification and project management training
• Advantageous: knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and Regulatory Asset Manager systems

Salary Range (annually): $92,200.00 - $176,000.00
