Job summary

Providence Health & Services seeks an experienced Manager IS Applications to shape the Applications team's strategy and road map in a healthcare setting. You will lead budget planning, supervise staff, and drive vendor partnerships to ensure stable, user-friendly applications.

You will mentor supervisors and align IT initiatives with organizational goals, managing complex ERP deployments across the enterprise while prioritizing service delivery and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, Engineering, or Science.
• 5 years of Information Services leadership experience.
• 8 years of experience creating and executing strategic plans for complex issues; process standardization and change management.
• 8 years of experience with large scale ERP systems like Oracle Applications & Infor Lawson, leading IS teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans for the IS organization and tactical plans for the Applications team.
• Manage budgets for the Applications team and project participation; monitor expenditure.
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors while maintaining staff technical competency.
• Establish and maintain long-term vendor relationships to drive application strategy and road map.

Responsibilities

As a Manager IS Applications at Providence, you develop strategic plans for the IS organization and develop and implement tactical plans for the Applications team. You develop, track and monitor the capital and operating budgets for the Applications team and their participation in projects and support. You will also lead, mentor, and develop supervisors while maintaining the technical competency of staff to ensure all daily operational readiness of the Applications Team. The Manager IS Applications is responsible for establishing and maintaining long‑term vendor relationships to define and drive the application strategy and road map to ensure application stability and a positive user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, Engineering, or Science
• 5 years of Information Services leadership experience
• 8 years of experience creating and executing strategic plans for highly complex issues; information services operations and support; experience standardizing complex and disparate processes; methodologies related to application management such as system deployment, support, and life cycle; experience in process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems. Proven ability to interact at and communicate to all levels of an organization. Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities.
• 8 years of experience working with application design and/or implementation of large scale Enterprise Resource Planning systems (like Oracle Applications & Infor Lawson); ERP experience must include leading Information Services teams in two or more of the following applications and business processes: Procurement (Requisitioning, Purchasing, Contract Management, Service Contracts, Travel & Expenses, Accounts Payable, Payments, P-Card Management, Supplier Portal); Inventory Management (Inventory Control Planning & Fulfillment, PAR Management, Receiving & Delivery); Warehouse Management (WMS Systems, Demand & Supply Planning, WCS, Inventory Replenishment & Fulfillment); Master Data Management (Item Master, Vendor Master).

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range by Location: Washington: Western - Except Tukwila: Min: $81.84, Max: $68.86
