Job Description - MANAGER, INPATIENT PHARMACY OPS - (Temple University Hospital/40 hours days) (251365)

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Operations, ensures efficient operation of the inpatient pharmacy and services it provides. Manages the day-to-day inpatient pharmacy operations and the pharmacy supervisors who are responsible for the scheduling of staff. Manages and maintains accountability for the operations of the pharmacy department both central and decentral. Oversees the care and delivery of service provided ensuring that they meet or exceed clinical quality and safety standards. Oversees and optimizes the medication use process assuring the safe and cost-effective preparation, dispensing, distribution, and security of medication. Performs supervision, orientation, performance evaluation/improvement, discipline, and other personnel actions. Participates in all quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Education
  1. Bachelors Degree: Pharmacy or PharmD (Required)
  2. Masters Degree: Pharmacy (Preferred)
  3. Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
  1. 1 Year experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Supervisor/Manager (Required)
  2. 5 Years experience in an institutional setting (Required)
  3. General Experience and understanding of process improvement techniques (Required)
  4. General experience in an Academic Medical Center (Preferred)
License/Certifications
  1. RPH-LIC - PA Pharmacist License (Required)
