Job description

Manager, Inpatient Pharmacy Operations - (Temple University Hospital/ 40 hours Day Shifts)

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Operations, ensures the efficient operation of the inpatient pharmacy and the services it provides. Manages day-to-day pharmacy operations and supervises staff scheduling. Oversees both central and decentralized pharmacy departments, ensuring compliance with clinical quality and safety standards. Optimizes medication use processes for safe, cost-effective preparation, dispensing, and security of medication. Responsible for personnel management including supervision, orientation, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)
  • Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience
  • 1 Year experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Supervisor/Manager (Required)
  • 5 Years experience in an institutional setting (Required)
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques (Required)
  • Experience in an academic medical center (Preferred)
License/Certifications
  • PA Pharmacist License (RPH-LIC) - Required
