The Opportunity:

The Manager, Information Security will lead the design and integration of security practices across Vivid Seats. This role ensures security is incorporated from the outset to protect our digital assets and systems. It involves partnering with platform engineering, software development, and product teams to embed security into our cloud infrastructure, agile processes, and business requirements.

You will also develop a high-performing, collaborative team, oversee organizational processes, coordinate projects, and build vendor partnerships. Promoting a strong security culture within the company is essential. The focus is on both the 'how' and the 'what' of security achievement.

Role Development Milestones:

30 days:

• Learn Vivid Seats' values and goals.
• Understand team contributions and stakeholder needs.
• Align with leadership on technology vision.
• Start regular 1:1 meetings with team members.

60 days:

• Set and pursue team goals aligning with department objectives.
• Lead initiatives to improve processes and drive innovation.
• Refine technical roadmaps and operational metrics.
• Enhance team workflows for better results.
• Build trust with team and stakeholders, including executives.

90 days:

• Monitor and adjust team and individual performance.
• Prioritize and refine collaboration processes.
• Contribute to strategic planning.
• Serve as a security thought leader within the company.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in information security and technology, with cloud/web application expertise in e-commerce.
• 3+ years leading teams.
• Knowledge of current security technologies and practices across cloud and applications.
• Business acumen aligned with security initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in security concepts like SCA, SAST, DAST, IAM, vulnerability management, firewalls, SEIM, encryption, WAF, bot mitigation.
• Experience with architectures and technologies such as MySQL, J2EE, React, Node.js, AWS, K8s, microservices.
• Proficiency in coding/scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Bash.
• Experience with multiple OS, infrastructure, and software engineering.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27000, PCI, SOC2.
• Ability to lead security projects and training.

Compensation & Benefits: Full-time offers include bonuses, equity, flexible PTO, health insurance, 401K matching, event discounts, and more. Salary range: $160,000 – $195,000 USD. Factors include location, experience, and education.

Location: Chicago, IL. We support a hybrid work model (3 days in-office).
